It's been a while since I've updated. Living in Laos is considered to be a 'hardship position' because lack of readily available services. Particularly, health care. If you go just across the border to Thailand, you're often dealing with medicine which was practiced in the US twenty years ago. I've made my connections with some good doctors in Bangkok.
My most recent problems have been lack of a multi-entry visa so if I go to Thailand, I can't return on a work visa. So I'm not sure if I can make my appointment at the end of the month. I may have to send someone to Nongkhai to buy some medicine for me - I can get medicine in Laos but my blood sugar went a bit crazy during the time I was taking the medicine.
It's frustrating but I have to balance my work, my life and my health.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm sorry you suffer ill-health, but it sounds as though you're a medical man yourself so you must ave access to god advice. I hope so.
Thank you for visiting my blog last week. You commented that it doesn't look like Africa. Ah, but Africa has many faces!
Your life sounds very interesting and I do hope you manage to obtain your medication. I spent a year (many years ago) as an exchange student in the US and had a lot to do with my fellow exchange students from Thailand. I loved them very much. And we corresponded for some years.
Thanks for coming by our blog, hope the year of bull will also bring you good fortune and health.
I am sorry that you suffer from diabetes. I hope can have the right medicines. There are so many kinds of diabetes, and each of them need a different approach. Thanks for your visit anyway.
